Turning off all system beeps.
Hi everyone, Today we want to look at how to turn off all system beeps. These are the sharp short noise that go through your computers' internal speakers. What to do to turn off all beeps is simple; click on start then click on run then type regedit and press enter. You will be taken to the registry editor. Please be careful not to change the values here if you don't know what you are doing as this could crash your computer. In the registry editor go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Control Panel > Sound. Doubleclick on Beep and change the value to No to turn off system beeps and Yes to turn them on. You see it's quite easy.

Well, it took me a century and a half to post this comment. This is exactly why we think computers belong on another planet as much help as they are .... Her goes nothing!
ReplyDeleteWow, it worked! Amazing!
ReplyDeleteThese "tips" seem too good to be true. Next time I have a problem with my computer, I will look you up rather than spend half the day to have the IT guy come and spend 3 seconds and the "problem" is solved. Thanks a lot.
